Dali once said that "communion must be symmetric." That is seen clearly in his rendition of the last supper. It was painting with oil on canvas in 1955. Much like the da Vinci painting, Christ is sitting centrally at the table with the disciplines around him. In the background, windows look on to a landscape. Christ himself is almost transparent, with the arms and chest of a man above him in the sky. This suggest that he was already ascending to heaven.
