Vishvanatha Temple

We looked at this Temple during our chat! Our CHAT was so much fun. This temple is one of the most famous Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located in the Holiest Place of Hindus (and the center of Hindu Cosmology), Benaras. Once in life, Hindus are expected to do pilgrimage and pour the ashes of cremated ancestors here on the Ganges. The temple itself has been destroyed and rebuilt a number of times. There is a mosque on the original site of the temple.
