Melun Diptych was created by Jean Fouquet and was completed in 1450. One wing hangs in the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Belgium and the other in Berlin. The name of the diptych came from its original home in the Melun cathedral. The right wing shows the virgin and child surrounded by angels. The model for the Virgin was King Charles VII's mistress at the time, Agnes Sorel.
