Interior of S. Sabina

The Basilica of Saint Sabina at the Aventine is a titular minor basilica in Rome, Italy. Saint Sabina is an early 5th century basilica with a classical rectangular plan and columns. Saint Sabina has an airy and roomy interior because the light that pours in through the windows. The mosaic was the original interior, but it was replaced in 1559 by a similar fresco by Taddeo Zuccari. The composition remained unchanged. In the painting, Christ is flanked by male and female saints, seated on a white hill while lambs drink from a small stream at its base.
