Beta Giorghis, Lalibela

First impression: freaking awesome. The Church of St. George in Ethiopia was built in the thirteenth century. It is often referred to as the "eighth wonder of the world." The church itself is carved out of solid rock. It is said that the churches in Labibela were build with amazing speed and until this day people still believe that angels came at night and helped finish them.
