Alhambra

Alhambra is a palace completed in the 14th century by the Moorish rulers of Spain. There was no master plan for the total design of the site, so the layout is not organized. The decorations within the palaces exemplify the remains of Moorish dominion within Spain. The isolation from the rest of Islam plus the commercial and political relationship with the Christian kingdoms also influenced building styles.
