A Line in Scotland Long

Richard Long first came to public attention in the late 1960s. He is part of a generation of British artists who extended the possibilities of sculpture beyond traditional materials and methods. Long’s work is rooted in his deep affinity with nature, developed during solitary walks, as one can see in A Line in Scotland. This sculpture reminds me of a child's sandcastle on the beach.
