Durer Fall of Man

The Fall of Man is an engraving completed by Albrecht Durer in 1504. It represents Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden before the Tree. This opening biblical scene is a metaphor of the beginning of a journey foreshadowed, which will gradually unfold through other engravings. Some critics believe that the figures of Adam and Eve resemble Michelangelo's David.
