Autumn Mountains Qichang

Qichang was a Chinese painter, scholar, and calligrapher of the Ming Dynasty. This painting was completed during the 17th century. His work favored expression over formal likeness. This led him to create landscapes with intentionally distorted spatial features. As one can see from a glance at Autumn Mountains, the mountains themselves seem spacially disoriented.
